District SAS Nagar has three tehsils as

Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar Tehsil

As per 2011 census ,the total population of the tehsil is 324375. The rural population of the tehsil is 113448 out of which there are 60953 males and 52495 females. The total SC Population of the tehsil is 57253.

KHARAR Tehsil

As per 2011 census, the total population of the tehsil is 329763. The rural population of the tehsil  is 167209 out of which there are 89069 males           and    78140 females. The total SC Population of the tehsil is 92435.

DERA BASSI Tehsil

As per 2011 census ,the total population of the tehsil is 340490. The rural population of the tehsil is 169360 out of which there are 90962 males     and   78398 females. The total SC population of the tehsil is 66542.
